Our Ceremony was held on the Band Lawn in the Royal Botanic Gardens. We had a fairly mild, overcast day for the ceremony. It had rained the whole day before so we were very lucky that the rain held off for the ceremony. Although, we would have preferred a sunny day, we wouldn't have wanted a very hot day. Jess's dress was very heavy and hot even on our mild day. Andrew and the boys would have melted in their suits. Our photographer was in raptures over the light, as an overcast day provides much better lighting than a sunny day.
Our celebrant was Gail Booth. She was organised, well spoken and nicely presented. We used sections of Gail's template ceremony wordings with a couple of our own customisations to construct our ceremony and vows. We chose not to memorise our vows, we had enough to do!
