Flowers weren't high on my "always dreamed about" list. I actually considered not having any flowers at all (a great way to save money). In the end, I decided on a bouquet of white oriental lilies with natural stems and foliage. I've always loved white oriental lilies and I didn't want a bouquet that was too fussy. It was also a nice size; not too big or heavy. My bridesmaids had a bouquet of white roses and julia roses (the dusky pink ones). The bridesmaids' bouquets complemented the different colours the girls were dressed in. It turned out wonderfully, considering I spent only half an hour researching flowers on the internet. The boys had a rose for their buttonhole. Andrew had a white rose and the groomsmen had a Julia rose. Our flowers were from The Floral Decorator in Erskineville. Suzanne, the florist, was lovely and very helpful, and our flowers turned out wonderfully. Their prices were comparable with other florists and it's always nice to support a local business. |
