We got our invitations from Artwise - Amazing Paper in Newtown. This place truly is amazing! They run an "express lane service", where all of their invitation stock is pre-cut to the correct sizes. You select your invitation style and colours and then all you have to do is stick it all together. A word of warning: try to avoid this place on a Saturday. It is chock full of bubbly brides trying to design the perfect wedding invitation. Of course, I selected a complicated invitation style which required quite a bit of work to assemble. Luckily, I had two of my wonderful bridesmaids, Davina and Annie, over one evening to help stick them all together. Andrew was also a big help. We sealed the envelope with a blob of special postal wax which was stamped with our personal seal. We were very impressed with the postal wax as from all reports it survived the posting process. When I was younger, Davina gave me my own personal seal with my initials, JLD, and I used it to seal all my cards and letters. Now, all correspondence is from both Andrew and myself, so for our engagement I bought a new J & A seal, from waxseals.com.au. |
